Common questions

Frequently asked questions

You speak directly with a lawyer about your situation. We'll outline your options, likely next steps and timeframes, and tell you upfront what any further work would cost. There's no obligation to proceed — the point is to give you clarity.

No — we do not practise criminal law. Our firm focuses on business and commercial law, property and conveyancing, wills and estates, probate and estate administration, and civil litigation and disputes.

It depends on the matter. Many services — wills, conveyancing, contract reviews and business sale documents — are available on a fixed-fee basis, so you know the price before we start. For other work we provide a clear written costs estimate before you commit to anything.

We have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns, and we assist clients right across Australia by phone and video conference.

Yes. A large share of our work is done by phone, email and video call, so we regularly assist clients in regional and remote areas — from Far North Queensland to rural Victoria — without them needing to visit an office.

In most cases we can arrange your free 15-minute consultation within one to two business days. If your matter is urgent — a contract deadline or an impending settlement, for example — tell us and we'll do our best to prioritise it.
